Our Story
Feline Health first opened its doors in February 1979. Dr. Perper was the founding owner and Dr. Edward Kepner joined him in October of 1979. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Perper retired. In February of 1989, Feline Health moved to its current location at 1533 1st Ave on the Upper East Side. Dr. Kepner hired Dr. Cori Blair in July of 2017 as an Associate Veterinarian. In March 2021, Dr. Kepner retired, and Dr. Blair took over the practice.
Our Doctor
Dr. Blair has loved cats her entire life. From her first cat, Samantha, that she adopted with her family at age 7, she knew she had a special connection with the cats. Dr. Blair graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s in Science in 2007, then later graduated from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. From there she moved back to her home state of New Jersey, where she grew up to practice small animal and exotics medicine between 2015 and 2017. After discovering an ad in 2017 for a feline-only practice on the Upper East Side looking for an associate veterinarian, she knew it was a perfect match, and she started practicing at Feline Health in July of 2017. Following Dr. Kepner’s retirement in March of 2021, Dr. Blair took over Feline Health as the sole practitioner, where she aims to create a welcoming environment for both clients and furry family members!
Location
Our office is located at 1533 1st Ave, New York, NY 10028, on the northwest corner of 80th and 1st. We are on the promenade (substreet level) of the East Winds Building. The entrance to the ramp is midway between 80th and 81st Street on 1st Avenue.
